OBAMA'S HEALTH CARE PLAN (1st News Post)

Is Health care Reform A Pro or Con?

Health care in this country has sparked a lot of controversy and from that controversy the President Barack Obama has proposed a plan that he says will answer all the problems but many Americans question it.
The current health care plan has a lot of problems, from minimal coverage to eligibility to limited people. Many of the people covered are low-income individuals and families who fit into an eligibility group that is recognized by federal and state law.
Since there are so many problems with the current health care plan President Barack Obama has proposed a new health care plan. Obama’s proposes a new health care plan that gives more security and stability for people who already have health insurance, gives quality and affordable choices for people who don’t have health care, and will help all Americans to be covered by having health insurance.
Many Americans are divided on their feelings about Barack Obama’s health care plan. Ashley Barnes, a nurse at Timpanogos Regional Hospital says,” I don’t like the idea of government run national health care.” Barnes continued by saying that although more people will be insured if Obama’s health care plan goes through, she doesn’t feel that everything Obama has promised about the health care plan will really happen.
Another American citizen, Lincoln Gardner, who has educated himself by following the President’s health care plan by watching his speeches, following the news on TV and reading the many newspapers in our country. Gardner, a Dicks Sporting Goods corporate employee, says,” From a realistic perspective the only good thing about his plan is the idea.” Gardner continued by saying that Obama has not explained how he will pay for his health care plan and it will cause too many problems with the quality of our countries doctors.
Although Barack Obama has good intentions on bettering our nation’s health care program and has good ideas on what can make it better, he may not have all the answers. Our country already has a lot of financial problems and with Obama’s health care plan it will only add to those financial problems.
