MORMONS CALLED OUT
Dallin H. Oaks who is one of the twelve apostles in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, was scrutinized after comparing the backlash of the California voters overturning gay marriage to the Southern blacks during the civil rights movement. After his comment to the students AT BYU Idaho, Oaks caught national attention. One of the reasons it caught alot of attention was because Oaks is a church leader. After all of the comments that were made to Oaks after his remarks, he still stands by what he said. He should be given alot of credit by not backing down to the press and people fighting his remarks. Why would he though, he is told what to say by a higher power and many people dont understand that.
